Our Mission

The Youth Friendship Foundation, Inc. will provide (fund and develop) comprehensive youth enrichment programs focused on education, character, and leadership development to ensure Madison and Limestone Counties youth are served in the following areas: STEAM, Health, Education, and Leadership.

Our Vision

To build strategic networks with government, other non-profit organizations, businesses, schools, churches, and community stakeholders. The outcome is to promote growth and development within the community, through programs such as mentoring, reading, financial literacy, voter registration and scholarships.

Meet Our President

James Reed

Mr. Reed is a visionary leader with a track record of over 31 years in government service. With an exceptional background in contracting and management, he excels in driving tangible business outcomes through collaborative efforts and teamwork. James is driven by a deep
passion for supporting students in their journey towards becoming responsible and accomplished individuals equipped with the skills and qualities necessary for success.Through his commendable 24-year tenure in the U.S. Army, James demonstrated unwavering dedication to his country while actively participating in after school programs
helping tutor students in various subjects, mainly in mathematics. As an officer in the Army, he hones his leadership skills, nurtured high-performance teams, streamlined operational processes, enforced organizational accountability, and fostered enduring relationships in
peacetime as well as in war. Now, his commitment extends to leading the Youth Friendship Foundation, Inc. where he strives to break the cycle of inequality and promote individual well-being by fostering character education generational wealth and holistic prosperity.
James is an alumnus of Wayland Baptist University and Webster University where he acquired a Bachelor Degree in Management and a Master’s Degree in Procurement and Acquisition Management.
